I secretly blush thinking of you

I had a huge crush and that was the cue

There was a little gush before I knew

If this is not love, what else can it be?

You are in my thoughts, you are in my dreams

My heart yearns for you as your face gleams

My feelings for you flow like water in the streams

If this is not love, what else can it be?

You are the one and only guy

Who listens to me with out any sigh

While you look at me straight in the eye

If this is not love, what else can it be?

I know you will be there like a guiding star

When ever I need you, you will not be far

It does not matter who you are

If this is not love, what else can it be?

I write because...

It makes me think
It does not cost a thing
With words that I can link
I write because I can

It makes me brood
It fixes my mood
It keeps me glued
I write because I can

I have now some thing to boast
It takes me on an adventure with every post
It challenges me the most
I write because I can

I thought I was one of those nerds
But I learnt I can interact with my words
I can now write about the birds
I write because I can

To escape from one
This has begun
All said and done
I write because I can

My new boy friend

He gives me many hugs and kisses everyday
He sings and dances while we play
He makes me feel special in every way
I am all smiles for I have a new boy friend now

He laughs with me when I am happy
He consoles me when I am sad
He listens to all I have to say
I am all smiles for I have a new boy friend now

He loves to please me
He loves to praise me
And oh he loves to tease me
I am all smiles for I have a new boy friend now

He lets me play with his toys
He is a bundle of joy
Oh he is my cute little boy
I am all smiles for I have a new boy friend now

PS: This is my first attempt at poetry. This is about my 3 year old son.
