Mistakes happen

Mistakes happen

In every relationship

Sorry for what I did

Think you can forgive me?

Accept me, I was naive

Knowing my stupidity

Excuse me if you can

Spell out what’s in your mind

Hiding how you really feel

Acting weird around me

Puzzles me deep inside

Pretend this never happened

Ease into our friendship

Neglecting the difficult past

Practicing acrostics!

If you haven't noticed yet - The first letter of each line spells out the title of the poem

Somebody somewhere will be there for you – Always!

To make you laugh, to make you cry
To tell you stories, that you can’t deny
To listen to all that you had to say
Sometimes just to make you sway!

There comes someone in your life
When talking to others becomes a strife
It is just miraculous how you get close
You talk as if there is nothing to disclose

There can be more than one such friend
That can make the relationship to transcend
This is that best friend you can get hold of
Mind you; it need not always be your love

You might have had someone to speak to
When you were alone, had nobody to turn to
Who just happened to help you sail through
Somebody somewhere is always there for you!

A business man in love

Here is a love story of an ambitious businessman
With dreams and hopes who had just but two goals
He said I would consider my life’s work to be done
Once I became an artist and found a loved one

An Engineer by profession, an artist by passion
He set upon the journey to realize his dreams
Artist thing came easy the other one was hard
In the process of finding love he became a bard

Enterprising by nature bragging was his culture
A pioneer in his field though he hated what he did
Started searching for a girl with all his heart
For someone who is beautiful, charming and smart

Met many girls with whom he easily got bored
Never found one whom he really adored
He started to wonder if it is only a myth
To meet a woman who he could get along with

Then came a girl into his life as a big surprise
Beautiful he thought looking at her sparkling eyes
Unique and brilliant with beauty and brains
Happy to meet her he celebrated with champagne

They spoke for hours through days and nights
Enjoying each others company with out any fights
She sang songs from movies by Yash Chopra
He sang the song from The Phantom of the Opera

He took her on a date flying to another state
Looking at her he thought he found his soul mate
He got her roses and a necklace with a black pearl
Excited at his gifts she smiled like a little girl

Lunch in a posh restaurant followed by a coffee shop
Dinner at a pizza place everywhere they talked non stop
She felt happy that he came to visit her from far
And drove her around in a red sports car

As he was leaving she was curious to know
If he felt this trip was worth the dough
After all a businessman he sounded quite funny
When he said ‘I got value for my money’!

An all purpose friend

We all have different kinds of friends
Some to gossip some to talk about trends
Some are for laughs some are for tears
Some to meet on weekends for cool beers

With a few you can share all about your family
With some you can just say any thing arbitrarily
With some you can talk about your colleagues
With some you can shop for hours in boutiques

Nice to have some one who can be an all in one
With whom you can be yourself and have lot of fun
Need not hesitate whether to say this or hide that
It doesn’t matter as they won’t spread the chitchat

If exists an all purpose friend should be some one
Who can replace all your friends in the long run
May be a complete stranger but feels like a soul mate

With whom no matter what you just feel great

Purpose of Life

True happiness is in making others happy
Having an impact on a person is not simple
Doing some thing memorable is not easy
It takes a gesture of kindness and warmth

Transform lives of those around one at a time
Light a spark in one and let them spread the same
A few drops in the ocean can create a ripple
It makes a difference even if it is just a couple

Our purpose of life is to serve others
Be good to those who are not good to you
There lies the true challenge, a chance to reform
To question their conscience and correct their deeds

Like the lamp, spread light to enlighten the world
Let your brains and kindness be the fuel
It is okay to get burnt a little in that process
You will see waves of happiness coming forward

A Perfect Mismatch

I was ready to explore a new world
Timid and shy when I first arrived
Trying to make friends of my type
Unexpectedly you came into my life

You were mighty and intimidating
I was quite scared yet anticipating
You extended your hand in friendship
And assured me of your fellowship

We became best friends instantly
Boasting about each other constantly
It is nothing but destiny that we met
The strangest any friendship can get

How often do you find such an odd pair?
To have a friend like you is truly rare
As for me you are such a good catch
Though we are a perfect mismatch!

Inevitable

Dear friend don’t be scared of the inevitable
It is quite natural to become all susceptible
I am going to help you through this phase
We will together come up with winning ways

Call it destiny or fate but it is the way of life
I would say it is nothing more than strife
Take it as a big challenge and be courageous
And when you survive it will be truly outrageous

Don’t let fear slow you down or distract you
Instead of death treat it as a test given to you
Only aim at the goal which is not seen now
With all your efforts you can reach it some how

Your counterpart is huge and you are tiny
But don’t let that make you all whiny
It is not size but the attitude that matters
Have faith and time will give all the answers

Fight for life as if you are definitely going to win
You will cherish this moment later with a grin
Hope for the best and don’t you ever give up
Don’t be afraid of the enemy even in closeup

Who knows it may not be all that bad
Think positive and don’t get all sad
May be the owl is not that strong
Chances are it might not come along

If you survive, this will be a life time achievement
If not it will become a moment of bereavement
Give in your best as if this is your last chance
Watch nature unravel itself leaving you in trance

Faith is power and it has won invariably
Don’t think of the result and it gets easy
You are capable of lot more than you know
Miracles happen and there is still hope!

Some relationships are special

Our lives revolve around relationships
I guess that’s the way it is intended to be
There are those that are bestowed on us
While the others we choose to be closer to

Though many people come into our lives
Only a selected few make a lasting impact
We develop a special bond towards them
And strive to make it a long time contract

It is in the very nature of a relationship
To hurt the one you like with out knowledge
Though the person is the one you worship
It takes a big deal to surrender and acknowledge

Those few make us feel some thing special
Giving the relationship a different angle
Compelling us to take it to another level
Ignoring everything making the heart dangle

Certain relationships never work out however
To part with our dear one seems only natural
No matter what the bond sticks with us forever
Some relationships are definitely special!

My Fair Lady!

When I whine about my weight gain
You never ever share the pain
When I say my friends are all slim
You question, why I don’t hit the gym

When I ask you how I look in a dress
You never lift your head and just say yes
What was the yes for, I ask?
To look up once is not a big task

I had a new hair style the other day
It was different from how I had it everyday
How come you didn’t find any difference?
I would say it is nothing but indifference

Our three year old spots the slightest change in me
You are thirty years old who can’t even see
This morning when I was looking all dull and pale
You looked at me for a while and said I look fair

That was the best thing I heard from you
But I am quite not sure all that was true
My cheeks were red and my eyes shady
Out of no where you call me my fair lady!
